About a lot of things. And I mean a lot.
I'm done with all the social networking for a while and I decided that I need to go out and meet real people down here in GA.
I'm tired of sitting in the house with nothing to do and no one to see. I love my St. Louis friends but I can't just keep waiting to go back home and have something to do.
Ummm I'll be posting a lot on here because I'm pretty much done with Skype, ooVoo, Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter because no one even contacts me on those things, so they're not going to good use.

Thrift Store (One Man's Trash Is Another Man's Treasure)

I'm not even about to hold this in anymore but I just want to let people know that 20% of my clothing I buy from the thrift store. I'm okay with saying that and if you have a problem with it, Fly Off! The thrift store is really good place to go to when you're looking for just the right thing. With thrift store clothes you can do whatever you want to it because a typical garment is very inexpensive (costs like $2.98).

Now don't sit up here and front like you've never stepped foot in a thrift store before. I was just in one today and found three pairs of like the perfect shorts I was looking for and some nice shades to start my collection for the summer.

Some of the people that walk around like fashionistas and look like they buy high end clothes design shop in thrift stores because I believe that they give people their own independence when it comes to style.

And yes, like my other clothes, I wash that shit before I wear it. It is "meager dusty handmedowns."

So like I said fuck off if you have something to say. I will still be in that group that's shitting on the rest.

This is the Mighty Healthy Pop Up Shop in NYC. If you don't know what a pop up shop is, just think of it as the Book Mobile for clothes. The lines travel to different cities with mobile stores basically and let people buy stuff off of it as long as they're in the city.
Mighty Healthy always has dope stuff in their line.
I'm gonna have a Pop Up Shop but idk what will be in it yet though lol.

I've heard stuff by them a couple years back, but now I'm listening to them even more. Their writing is amazing and some of their songs I can relate to without actually relating to (if that makes sense). I haven't been through a break-up but their break up song 'Call it Off' is like one of the best songs I've heard in a while. It's so to the point and their voices are really unique. Other good songs by them are 'Back in Your Head', 'The Con', 'The Cure', 'Sainthood' and a bunch of others.

I like what Pringle of Scotland did to display their Spring/Summer 2010 collection. Rather than a lookbook, art photographer Ryan McGinley made a short film starring Academy Award winner Tilda Swinton wearing some items from the collection. If she looks familiar it's because she played the White Witch in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, Witch, and the Wardrobe.

Just Thinking....

So I've pretty much wanted to have every career on the planet, like I'm Barbie or some shit. Sometimes I wonder what my future holds.

Don't you wish you had a machine that lets you see what you're doing like 10 years from now?
Man I do.

At one point I wanted to go to school for zoology and run a zoo just like Steve Irwin. I wanted to jump on alligators and crocodiles and shit. I wanted the khaki outfit, and the white Land Rover truck. That was then. For some reason that dream faded away and I don't know why exactly. NO one discourage me or anything.

Next, I wanted to be just like Diane Sawyer. I wanted to host the national news show. Interview great people. She's still one of my heroes, I just don't want that anymore. Idk why that dream didn't last either.

Now I really want to go to school for psychology/psychiatry but before that I wanted to do journalism. I wanted to write for Rolling Stone/SPIN/Complex/Cosmo/Vogue just pretty much every magazine out there. I still want to do journalism though. Is that really my dream? I think I'm the only one that should know the answer to that.

It's sad that you have to choose one life you want to live over another. Why can't I be a psychiatrist and cover runway shows. Would both be too time consuming. I want to be the one in my thick framed glasses taking pics with icons and interviewing them. I want the pencil sitting on my ear and a notepad in my back pocket. I want to document my experiences.

But at the same time, I want to be the one in the white coat in my thick framed glasses. Talking to patients. Clicking my pen, writing down my observations. I want to know why the patient acts the he/she does.

You would think I'd have this shit figured out by now, but I really don't. I don't know exactly what I'll be doing. At some points, I don't think I wanna know for real. Whatever happens I just want to enjoy it.

Enjoyment is a rarely known key of success. You must fully enjoy to fully succeed.

I like the way these are designed, for the comfort of the person wearing it.

Coachella 2010

If you don't know what Coachella is, kill yo self j/k.
It's a 3 day music and arts festival that's held every year in Coachella, CA by Palm Springs. You don't have to leave and come back everyday to see the bands, you can camp out on the Valley. Everyday, for three days, the doors open @ 11 and the festival ends @ midnight.

I wanna go one year with a bunch of friends. We would have to save up a WHOLLLE lotta money.

The best part about this year's festival is that Jay-Z, Muse, and Gorillaz are headlining it! I would kill (not really though) to go this year! :(

Gorillaz are BACK!!

And I am OHHHH SOOOOO UBER EXCITED. I absolutely love the Gorillaz. I was really worried that they weren't going to come back with the disappearance of Noodle and all that, and that was like 5 years ago, after the release of Demon Days. Well, they packed and moved to this secret floating island in the South Pacific called Plastic Beach HQ. There, they've been resting and recording their new album Plastic Beach (March 9th). They're performing at Coachella this year and I'm very upset that I can't go. When I say I'm upset, like I'm really upset. See: :'(
It's their first live U.S. performance since Demon Days Live in New York City, which was just purely amazing (nothing more, nothing less).

Their first single 'Stylo' (featuring Mos Def and Bobby Womack) has already been leaked but it's officially available for download on January 26th.

Everybody has a way, or at least should have a way to manage their money. I admit that I'm a bad money manager lol. Like, for real I don't know how to budget myself so I just spend my whole check on bull sometimes. That's not a good thing because I will most likely develop this as a long term habit. I might end up broke even though I am making six figures and a psychiatrist ;) (or maybe something else, who knows). I don't know about anybody else, but I don't want to be broke before I even start to make my money. So, while driving to school on this rainy, yet inspiring Thursday morning, I came up with a way I'm going to manage MY money. That's just what it is, MY money. I don't belong to the money and I need to start acting like it. I decided to either get rid of my direct deposit at my job or get rid of my bank account. Going through all the pluses and minuses, I decided to get rid of neither. I can control my money through both. So what I decided to do was to take most of my money OUT of my bank account as cash. Give myself a spending limit on my debit card because I have what I call "Swipe Flu", that's where I just swipe my card just because I know I have money in there. The cash, I'm going to ghetto shoebox that shit like I trap or something. It sounds like it would all make sense to me. I just want to see how this will work. I'm confident that it will come out great. I think I'll still shoebox my shit like 10 years from now lol.
